Rly to make speed trial on Bpl-Hbj third line today
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Railway is all set make speed trial on its newly constructed third line from Bhopal to Habibganj station on Wednesday. This is the newly constructed railway line where speed trial of trains will be held with all angles.
First trial is planned on November 25 to be held for speed of 100 kmph to 110 kmph. After successful trial of speed, regular trains will be started on this line.
It is a six km long track constructed in five years. However, third line was almost to be started about two years back but the over bridge being constructed on Subhas Crossing and Pool Bogda delayed the project. Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) has recently inspected the line and sent his report to Mumbai zone for inspection of Commissioner Railway Safety.
After starting the third line from Bhopal to Habibganj, trains will be reaching to the stations in short time and halt of trains at outer will be minimised.
This will also help to speed up the through and goods trains that do not take halt at Bhopal and Habibganj stations.
Third line has already been started on Bhopal-Bina (158 km) about two years back.
