Sahasraheersha Devi Mandal celebrates 7th foundation day virtually
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Sahasraheersha Devi Mandal (SDM), the female wing of Maharishi World Peace Movement celebrated its seventh Foundation Day on Wednesday through virtual platform, adhering to the social distancing norms in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event was graced with the presence of Brahmachari Girish Ji, Chancellor of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic Vishwavidyalaya, who was chief guest for the day. Addressing the virtual program organized at the Maharishi Vedic Cultural Center in the state capital Bhopal, Honorable Chairmen-Brahmachari Ji congratulated the member of SDM for their commitment and dedication. Girish Ji said that Sahasraheersha Devi Mandal is currently active only in 20 states with 1000 to 2000 women. Therefore, we will have to expand it in the remaining states of the country and 150 countries of the world as well. Today we have a lot of communication tools to connect anyone around the world, but at that time Maharishi Ji alone traveled around 124 countries with limited means and founded the World Peace Movement. Girish Ji urged all the members of Sahasrasheersha Devi Mandal to use the power of communication and try to add others to this group.
Today's ceremony was organized on three topics in which the teachers of the organization and other academics expressed their views. Smt. Banja Mohandas from Kerala, Smt. Rita Prakasham from Madhya Pradesh and Smt. Anita Sharma from Haryana expressed their views on the topic “Evolution of Transcendental Meditation and world peace”.
Mrs. Basanthi Parasuraman of Telangana, Mrs. Bina Bahuguna of Noida and Mrs. Manika Goswami of Assam gave their views on the topic of "Impact of Transcendental Meditation on new education policy ". On the third topic "Mental awareness in society with respect to women", Self Defense Expert Dr. Brij Tripathi, Social Worker Dr. Geeta Narahari and Mrs. Suman Yadav of Bhopal participated and stated their views.
The virtual event started with Guru Puja followed by a welcome note by Smt. Arya Nandkumar, National Communications Secretary of Sahasrashirsha Devi Mandal.
The programme was viewed by thousands of students through online live streaming while adhering to the regulations of COVID-19.
