B.Ed admission concludes, 30 per cent seats vacant

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Concluding the third round of online admission to NCTE affiliated courses, around 8,000 students have confirmed their admission on Wednesday. 

The department had allotted seats to 19,000 candidates out of which 8120 students have confirmed their admission. There were 17,100 applicants filled up their choice for admission. Department of Higher Education has not announced any additional round of counselling for admission to the courses. Students who failed to confirm admission on allotted seats would not be getting another chance of admission.

Merit list of applicants was released on September 25. There were 17,100 students filled up choices for B.Ed and around 3,000 students filled choice for other courses. NCTE courses include subject like B.P.Ed, M.P.Ed, BA-B.Ed, B.ScB.Ed, MA-B.Ed, M.Sc-B.Ed and B.Ed-M.Ed. 

The department has not release further schedule of counselling after three rounds. However, expectation is being made the one more round of admission will be announce to fill up the vacant seats. In second round that was concluded on September 13, 11000 students were admitted.
