BU yet to confirm mode of PG examination

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Barkatullah University (BU) has started preparation to conduct offline exam of PG semester students but mode of exam is still in controversy. As per time table released by the university, exams would begin from January 3. University officials are still not clear about mode of exam. They said that Department of Higher Education has said to conduct offline exam but students are demanding online exam. 

Besides, COVID-19 cases have been increased in city due to which there is no clarity over the exam mode. On December 9, meeting was held with HoDs where it was decided to conduct offline exam. While Vice Chancellor RJ Rao and registrar IA Uikey has verbally discussed the officials of DHE and said to conduct online exam. 

DHE  has said in its order to conduct offline examination of PG first and third semester and ATKT from December 16 to 19. Barkatullah University is submitting examination form of students. In the meantime COVID-19 cases have once again rising due to which demand for online exam is being made students. After Government said to conduct online exam for students of RGPV University, it raised hope among college students for the online exam. 

Experts said that when students of technical programme are appearing for exam in online mode, colleges will also be taking decision in this regards. For past few months COVID-190 cases were on declining mode due to which DHE said to conduct offline exam with 50 percent strength of students. 

Detail schedule of PG classes examination has been also released that has put students in dilemma. Students said that there classes have not been conducted properly in online mode and syllabus is incomplete. When department asked to start offline class with 50 per cent capacity only 10 percent students reached to the campus.
