CBSE asks schools to celebrate ‘National Education Day’ today
BHOPAL [Maha Media]:To commemorate the National Education Day, the Central Board of Secondary education (CBSE) has asked its affiliated schools to mark the occasion with conduct of various activities for the students on Wednesday.
Notably, the Central Government vide its resolution dated September 11th, 2008 had declared November 11th, the Birth Anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, great freedom fighter, eminent educationist and the first Union Minister of Education as the National Education Day.
Thus, the schools and other educational institutions will be marking the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad as ‘National Education Day’.
The board has suggested some of the activities which can be conducted by the schools. The schools may organise online seminars; symposia; essay writing, slogan writing, elocution and poster making competitions on the importance of education and the nation’s commitment to all aspects of education on November 11, Wednesday.
The schools are asked to make necessary arrangements for celebration of the National Education Day on the day through virtual mode, strictly adhering to the guidelines issued by Government of India for prevention of spread of COVID-19.
