CBSE to facilitate students representing country in International Olympiads
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: IN ITS various initiatives to promote sport and other educational competition amongst youth, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to facilitate to the students who will be representing country in International Olympiads.
The board has decided that the students who will be representing country in International Olympiads and whose CBSE Board exams may clash with their dates in any international Olympiad including dates of journey for that Olympiad that is recognised by appropriate authority in India, including Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education.
For such students, their examination will conclude at a later stage as decided by CBSE. Notably, in no case such candidates will be permitted to appear along with the compartment examination as the compartment examination is conducted only for those candidates who are placed in Compartment in the main examination.
Schools may send such requests to concerned Regional office, CBSE along with the recommendation of Homi Bhabha centre for science education within ten days of this circular released by the board for necessary action by the board.
Examinations of such students will be rescheduled and will be conducted in between April 1 to 15 of the examination year for all candidates.
Schools may bring this information to the notice of their students who are likely to participate in international Olympiads so that they can benefit from this initiative of the CBSE.
Candidates who will not follow the above instructions, special examinations will not be conducted for them.
