Deadline for admission to NCTE courses extended to Oct 19
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: As around 70 per cent seats of NCTE courses are lying vacant, Department of Higher Education (DHE) has extended the admission date by October 19. The department has conducted three admissions round for admission to B.Ed, M.Ed, B.P.Ed, M.P.Ed, BA-B.Ed, B.Sc-B.Ed, MAB.Ed, M.Sc-B.Ed and B.Ed-M.Ed courses.
DHE has earlier announced to conduct only three rounds of admission and decided to conclude the process on September 30. But third round of admission concluded on September 30 with large number of seats vacant. Concerned over the vacant seats in each courses, officials decided to conduct two more round of admission by October 19.
Besides, students were informed via sms that portal will remain closed on October 2 due to Gandhi Jayanti. Online admission counselling will begin from October 3.
In third round, there were around 8,000 students confirmed their admission. Though DHE had allotted seats to 19,000 candidates out of which 8,120 students have confirmed their admission. There were 17,100 applicants filled up their choice for admission in third phase.
After seat allotment on September 26, candidates require confirming admission on given seat by September 30. In second round department had allotted 25000 seats out of which 14000 students denied confirming their admission.
There are 558 colleges with 45000 seats across state participating the online admission procedure of DHE.
