Decide school’s recognition matter quickly: High Court
INDORE [Maha Media]: Justice Prakash Shrivastava has said in the order on the petition filed by Prakhar Convent School through Praveen Chaurasia that “Hence, without adverting to the merits of the matter, the writ petition is disposed off by directing the appellate committee to decide the review petition, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of 30 days.
Petitioner school aggrieved with the rejection of the application for recognition, the petitioner has approached this court. When the matter is taken up for hearing, counsel appearing for the petitioner had submitted that in terms of Rule 12A of the amended MP Recognition of Secondary and Higher Secondary School Rules, 2017, the petitioner has filed the review petition, before the second appellate committee and the said review petition is pending, therefore, the petition be disposed of by directing the second appellate committee to consider and decide the review petition within a time bound period.
In this regard, he has placed reliance upon an order dated on September 16, 2019, passed in writ petition in the case of (Gyan Path Convent Higher Secondary School versus State of MP through School Education Department). Counsel for the State submits that there is no objection in deciding the review petition itself within a time bound period.
