DHE allots 41,075 PG seats to applicants in colleges

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Department of Higher Education (DHE) has allotted 41,075 post-graduate seats to the applicants for second round of admission in colleges. In first two rounds of admission, DHE has allotted 65,489 seats to applicants. Online registration for PG seats was concluded with around 50,000 registrations. 

Besides, there are around 80,000 students left their seats in first round of admission. These candidates refilled their choices for further seat allotment in second round. After concluding first round of admission, 1.91 lakh seats remained vacant. Out of 2.34 lakh seats only 43,088 seats were occupied by students with fee confirmation in first round. There were 29,087 girl students and 14,001 boys confirmed their admission in first round of PG admission. 

DHE has concluded document verification for second round of admission on August 31. After preparing merit list of applicant second round of seat allotment was released on September 6. There are 46,000 registrations and 27,000 document verification for this round of admission. 

Students who did not confirm their admission after having seat allotment in first round were allowed to fill choice for second round. There are around 10,000 students registered for second round of admission in PG programme. In the first round, 42,000 applicants confirmed their admission in PG programme against 2,34,279 seats. Merit list of applicants will be released by September 4 and admission confirmation will be held by September 11. 

To fill remaining seats of PG programme, college level counselling registration will be held from September 15 to 20.
