DHE set to release first allotment list for BEd on August 14
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Department of Higher Education (DHE) is set to release first allotment list for BEd and other NCTE affiliated programme on August 14. Online registration and document verification for BEd programme concluded with 47,549 registrations. Out of this, around 34,000 candidates have successfully verified their documents.
Besides, 46,210 applicants have filled choices. Officials are expecting to fill around 50 percent seats in first counselling round. Eligible candidates will be asked to confirm their admission on allotted seats by August 18 with fee submission. Detailed admission guidelines have been released by DHE. After witnessing vacant seats, further registration round will be held by DHE. Though registration is free but students will be paying Rs 100 as portal charges.
According to DHE there are 758 BEd colleges offering around 70,000 seats across State. Students can make their registration to participate online admission process from mobile phone or computer at home. They need not to visit any center or help desk physically. Documents will be verified in online mode only. After verifying documents, seats will be allotted to applicants as per merit list. Students will be asked to upload scanned copy of documents for further verification. DHE has assigned help centres in colleges where students can appear for any kind of problem or help.
There are also helpline numbers released by DHE for virtual help. There will be three admission rounds to fill up 70,000 seats. Officials of Higher Education Department said that latest trend in BEd programme shows increase in its demand. As every year around 90 per cent BEd seats remain full in colleges, this year colleges are expecting to fill up entire seats.
While during year 2019, 87.06 per cent seats were full in colleges, during year 2020, 93.46 per cent seats were filled.
