DHE starts preparation for new session from Sept

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Department of Higher Education (DHE) has released its notification on Tuesday for beginning of new academic semester from September 1, 2021. This year academic session in colleges and universities will be delayed by one month due to pandemic.

The department has started preparations for admission of undergraduate first year and post graduation first semester from August 1. Besides, under graduation second, third year, PG third semester admissions will be held from August 1 to 30. The department has also asked universities to release open book exam result for UG third year and PG final semester in July. Remaining result of UG and PG students will be released by August. 

By the end of July CBSE and MPBSE both boards would be releasing their result for class XII. Barkatullah University, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) Indore and other universities have assured to release their BA, B.Sc, B.Com final year and MA, MCom, MSc final semester result before July 31. Concerned over dates of exam result, DHE has started preparation for admission in new academic session.

The department has sought detail of seats in Government and private colleges across state so that online admission portal would be updated. The department is drafting admission rule as per Governor’s direction. As per schedule, registration process for BA, BCom, BSc, MA, MCom, MSc will begin from August 1. Colleges will be asked to update admission list and vacant seats within week of concluding the admission counselling. Last year (2020-21) too admission in UG and PG courses were delayed. 

This year UGC has not recommended any admission related schedule.
