First round of PG admission in MP concludes today
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Candidates having seats allotment for Post Graduate programme in colleges across state are left with one day to confirm admission with fee submission.
There are around 30 thousand students yet to confirm their admission on allotted seats. On its first round, DHE has allotted 59 thousand PG seats. Students having their name in seat allotment list are asked to confirm admission by August 19. Officials said for PG programme, female candidates are higher in number and they are confirming their admission on allotted seats rapidly.
Out of 59 thousand seats, 39 thousand seats were allotted to the female applicants. There are 10 thousand girl applicants and 5 thousand male candidates confirm their admission with fee submission. Around 45 thousand students are yet to confirm their admission on allotted seats while last date of first round is August 19.
In comparison to session 2020-21, this year Department of Higher Education increased the PG seats intake by 50 thousand. It may be noted that registration for admission in PG programme was begun on August 1. This year entire admission process is being held in online mode and documents are also being verified online.
There are few universities yet to declare UG final year result. DHE said merit list of such candidates will be made based on average of previous year marks. Second round of registration for PG seats will be held from August 22 to 28 and documents will be verified by August 30.
Second list will be released by September 6 and admission confirmation will be held by September 11. To fill up remaining seats of PG programme, college level counseling registration will be held from September 15 to 20.
