IGNOU continues admission, last date slated on July 15
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started its admission process for 256 programmes.
Las date of online application for admission in these programmes is July 15. The university said that only online application will be entertained. Detailed are uploaded on university portal. Dr Pramod Chaudhary, Co-ordinator of IGNOU study centre, informed that students can apply for admission in UG level programme like BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BSW, MSW, M.Com etc.
This year IGNOU has also introduced PG Diploma in Development Communication (PGDDC). Admission for this program has begun via online mode.
The programme was launched by Professor Nageshwar Rao, Vice Chancellor IGNOU. The program was webcasted at various online platforms and was attended by thousands of students. He pointed out that this program is of vital importance as this takes into account various important aspects of national interest. He said that this will be a milestone programme for all the learners.
Professor K G Suresh, Vice Chancellor, Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication Bhopal, said that the importance of development communication cannot be overestimated and the time for this discipline and course has come.
He said that there is a need to take this discipline to the villages and the learners who take up this program need to focus on the needs of the rural sector so that the issues of grass root development can be taken up more seriously and in an organised manner.
