IGNOU continues admissions for 250 programmes for July 2021

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is continuing its admission process for more than 250 programmes for session July 2021. 

Online process is completely online and applicants are asked to upload their documents in digital form following with epayment. Receipt will be released to the candidate in digital way after submitting the application fee. 

Dr Umesh Chandra Pandey,  Regional Director of IGNOU, said, “IGNOU is the first distance education university having A++ grade from NAAC. We have also introduced a few new programmes from July session that would help youth for skill development and gaining knowledge.” 

He further said that on graduation level there are 9 general degrees under choice based credit system and 11 degrees on postgraduation level. Last date of online application for admission in these programmes is July 15. The university said only online application will be entertained. Detailed are uploaded on university portal. Dr Pramod Chaudhary, co-ordinator of IGNOU study centre, informed that students can apply for admission in UG-level programme like BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BSW, MSW, M.Com etc. 

This year IGNOU has also introduced PG Diploma in Development Communication (PGDDC). Admission for this programme has begun via online  mode.

Officials said that this program is of vital importance as this takes into account various important aspects of national interest. They said that this will be a milestone programme for all the learners. 

Umesh Chandra Pandey further added that the importance of development communication cannot be overestimated and the time for this discipline and course has come.

He said that there is a need to take this discipline to the villages and the learners who take up this programme need to focus on the needs of the rural sector so that the issues of grass root development can be taken up more seriously and in an organised manner.
