IGNOU to conduct examinations from August 3
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: The June term-end examinations of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) are starting from August 3. These 30- day long examinations are being conducted for the final year students of graduation andpostgraduation. Apart from this, certificates are being structured for diploma and PG diploma courses whose details are available on the university’s website.
A total of 766 examination centers have been set up by the university, out of which 80 jail centers and 19 examination centers are located abroad. These examinations will be conducted in two shifts, the first from 10 am to 01 pm and the second from 02 pm to 05 pm. IGNOU Regional Director Dr UC Pandeysaid that the June Term End Examinations will be held September 9.
He added that the examinations are being conducted at 16 examination centers under Bhopal Region, where 11,000 or more candidates will appear for more than 300 courses of IGNOU. Five examination centers have also been set up in Indore, Ujjain, Hoshangabad, Gwalior and Bhopal jails so that prisoners enrolled in IGNOU will be able to give the examination.
IGNOU examinations in Bhopal will be managed at IGNOU Study Center, Motilal Nehru Science College. IGNOU examinations will also be conducted in Indore, Gwalior, Mandsaur, Ujjain, Vidisha, Betul, Jhabua, Burhanpur and Hoshgabad.
Assistant Regional Director Dr Anshuman Upadhyay informed that the admit card of all the eligible candidates in IGNOU has been uploaded on the official website of IGNOU which can be downloaded by the candidates.
All the candidates are required to bring the identity card issued by IGNOU. He also said that instructions have been given to all the superintendents of examination that if the name of any candidate is in the examination list but due to some reason, they fail to perform their admit card, in such situation all such candidates will be allowed to appear in the examination.
On Monday, a special help desk will be set up at the regional centre for examination assistance, where the problems of the students will be resolved. For any information, candidates can contact Regional Centre Bhopal by email.
Admit cards have been provided to all the students with social distancing norms, so that they can ensure safety of themselves and their peers. Strict prohibition of mobile and other digital device is ordered.
