JEE Main exam for May 2021 postponed
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: JEE Main 2021 May Exam has been postponed by the National Testing Agency amid surge in COVID 19 cases in the country. The announcement has been made just now by the Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal. Students must keep a check on the official site for more updates on the revised dates.
The Tweet from Education Minister on JEE Main 2021 May Exam postponement says, "Looking at the present situation of COVID-19 and keeping students safety in mind, JEE (Main) - May 2021 session has been postponed . Students are advised to keep visiting the official website of NTA for further updates".
Earlier, April session had been postponed due to COVID19. It was likely that the NTA would reopen the registration for the May examination. Many felt that with the present situation, JEE Main 2021 May Exam session will also get postponed and the decision has finally come.
Over 20 lakh students had registered for the JEE Main 2021 Examination. So far, about 12 lakh students have appeared for the JEE Main examination. With many second attempts, there are still lakhs of students who have not yet appeared for the JEE Main 2021 examination. Meanwhile, with the cases continuously rising in the country, students were expecting the JEE Main 2021 May Exam to be postponed.
