MP: 1st round of MDS admission ends

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Online registration for admission in MD and MS seats of Private and Government Medical Colleges under NEET-PG 2021 based on merit list would begin by Directorate of Medical Education (DME) from October 29. As court has put stay on all Indian counseling , a separate counseling schedule will be released after completing the registration process. The directorate has asked aspiring medical students to check official portal on regular basis for updated information. Besides, first round of admission on MDS programme has been concluded on Wednesday. 

There are 264 seats for MDS programme for which 243 candidates have submitted their application on portal. However seats were allotted to only 155 candidates. After this, second round of counseling will  begin from October 30. Status of vacant seats will be uploaded on portal after end of admission and fresh registration for second round of counseling will be held on October 30 and 31. Seats will be allotted on November 3. This year medical aspirants seem to be distracted from dental programme as many seats are going vacant. There are only 243 registrations against 264 available seats. 

There are 85 applicants belonging to other state but they have been enlisted in first merit list. There is only one Government dental college in state with 14 seats. Students have no other option expect pursuing dental programme in private college with high fee structure. DME is conducting counseling for admission under MP State Combined NEET PG. Seat leaving bond of registration would not be applicable.
