MP: BU commences BEd, MEd and PG first sem exam
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: BED and MEd examination of first to fourth semester has begun at the centers assigned by Barkatullah University (BU) on Tuesday. The university has assigned more than 18 centers for both exams. Besides PG first semester examination has also began on Tuesday. There are 120 centers in seven districts. At many centers, students were seen making groups and gathering outside of exam hall. Students are neither following social distancing guidelines not wearing mask properly.
Though university is conducting offline exam for all students for past 15 days but this increased the tension among students and parents as well. Many students are being detected Covid positive at exam centers and after this, students are opposing the decision of university management to conduct offline exam. Hindi University is also set to start its offline examinations. Sources said that around 50 students have been found at Covid positive at Bhopal and nearby exam centers. However there is separate sitting arrangement for suspected tudents at centers. University has denied preparing such record of Covid patients. University officials said that exam schedule has been released and half of exams have been conducted.
They said it is almost impossible to conduct half exams in offline and remaining in online pattern. Several demonstrations have been already held in BU to demand online or open book exam. University management said that for past two years, only open book exam is being held. BU has completed its UG first and third semester examination under UTD in offline mode successfully.
Though students were opposing offline exam mode but when exam began, students were present with 100 per cent attendance. Besides, examination of first semester students will be concluded on January 21.
