MP: BU convocation ceremony today
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Barkarullah University (BU) is set conduct its convocation ceremony for session 2019-20 on Tuesday. There are 186 students from session 2019-20 registered for granting degree at Minto Hall. According to university officials 73 PG and 68 PhD degree holders are registered to receive degree during occasion.
All these students will be receiving their degrees in Indian attire. Students have submitted Rs 1,000 each for the attire. After returning the uniform, their amount will be refunded. In the memory of Justice K K Shukla, his spouse Professor Mona Purohit will be releasing gold medal from Law Department.
The medal will be rewarded to the first rank holder in Law Department. There will be also Jindal Foundation gold medals. The convocation will be held in offline mode. Consent for the programme has been given by Governor Mangubhai Patel. The university has this year banned traditional robes and said to distribute degrees in India attire.
Students have been asked to appear in the ceremony wearing white Kurta and Pyjama for male and white Salwar Kurta or cream colour saree for female. The university will be providing jacket, scarf, turban, etc during the programme.
