MP: Colleges to reopen from September 15

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Universities and colleges across the State are set to reopen for students and staff with 50 per cent strength from September 15. A notification regarding the same has been released by Department of Higher Education on Friday.

The department has also released a notification regarding library, hostel and mess facilities. As per the notification, hostels will be reopening for only graduation final year and post graduation third semester students. 

There will be small groups of students in mess to follow social distancing. Academic activities of universities and colleges are set to reopen for session 2021-22. Colleges are being reopened after consent of district crisis management group and college principals. Only 50 percent students will remain present in the college and online classes will also be continued. 

Libraries will be reopening under certain restrictions. Only registered students will be allowed to enter the library and belongings like bag, laptop, etc will be submitted at entry gate. If any student is found to be COVID-19 positive, entire libraries will be sanitised properly. 
College management are asked to follow Covid guidelines strictly and no one will be allowed without mask and face shield. Hand sanitisation and social distancing will be mandatory. Students and staff have been asked to follow Covid guidelines in class, library, mess and hostels.
