MP: DHE allows course change for college students by Dec 10
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Depatment of Higher Education (DHE) has confirmed admission of 6.58 lakh students in 1301 colleges across state. There are around 85 thousand students applied for course change. Besides, many other students wish to change the branch and subject.
DHE has provided an opportunity to these aspirants for changing their courses by December 10. Apart from offline, students can submit offline option too. Fresh admission in colleges for UG and PG seats has been closed. The department is providing an opportunity to the students for changing their major, minor, optional and professional programme selection. These changes will be held on internal level in college. DHE officials have decided to allow only course up-gradation for first year students who have confirmed admission in colleges.
This year college students are allowed to pursue professional or certificate programme along with under graduation and post graduation degrees. All colleges have been directed to offer at least two professional courses out of 25 programmes. College principal will be responsible to conduct the class and regular studies of subjects chosen by the students. All institutes are asked to choose at least two subjects out of 25 subjects available on portal as per the local employment and needs. Earlier students were not allowed to pursue any certificate or diploma courses during degrees. If any subject chosen by student is not available in college, he or she can pursue the same via online mode from SWAYAM portal. However written approval from concern official of college would be required for the same.
