MP: DHE to conduct offline exam for UG, PG students
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: While technical colleges are set to take online exam for all students, the Department of Higher Education (DHE) directed to conduct offline exam for UG and PG programme. Colleges’ exam scheduled for month of December and January will be held in offline mode with 50 per cent attendance of students. However, students are opposing the decision and demanding online exam.
DHE is conducting open book exam for past two sessions on account of COVID-19 pandemic. This time, DHE is set to conduct offline exam for all students to maintain the academic. The department has said to follow all COVID protocols and allow only 50 percent students in a hall.
Exams will begin from PG first and third semester from December and January. There are about 2.5 lakh students to appear the exam. In its order DHE has said that at all centres only 50 percent students against the capacity will be appearing to write the exam. Universities have been asked to assign maximum number of centres to follow social distancing protocols.
Though exam schedule has been released but universities are yet to open the exam form for students. DHE has sought the list of new enrollment from all colleges by December 10. Exams of PG first and third semester will be held from December 15 to January as per academic calendar. The department said to follow the academic calendar so that session would not be delayed. A separate notification will be released by DHE to follow the COVID-19 protocols in all colleges and exam centre during offline exam. There are around 2.5 lakh students from 1301 colleges across state to appear the exam.
In its order DHE has said that Government and private universities can conduct online exam per their resources availability and arrangement. Universities would have to follow COVID guidelines strictly.
