MP: Engineering aspirants to confirm admission toda
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has extended two days for confirming admission in Bachelor of Engineering (BE) programme. Applicants having seat allotment are now allowed to submit fee for admission by October 7.
Earlier, students were asked to confirm their admission on allotted seats by October 5 only. There are around 4,000 students confirmed their admission on engineering seats.
DTE had allotted first round of seats to 16,834 BE aspirants for session 2021-22. There are 144 engineering colleges participating the online counselling. For admission in 48 engineering branch, 17,824 students have verified their documents.
Applicants have been allotted seats based on JEE Mains merit list. Counselling is being held to fill up around 54,000 seats of engineering in State. There are 4,600 students submitted option for upgrading their seats.
These candidates are asked to confirm admission with fee submission by October 10. Second round of counselling will begin from October 19 based on qualifying merit list.
From October 21 to 25, college level counselling will be held. There were 20,000 registrations in first round but around 17,000 applicants verified their documents to participate. DTE has collected data of class XII pass out students from MPBSE and CBSE due to which most of students are verifying their data via online mode.
There is no need to visit the help centre for manual document verification. DTE officials said that concerned over the COVID-19 pandemic, admission is being held via online mode.
DTE officials said that efforts are being made to fill up maximum seats of colleges in two counselling rounds. This year expectation is being made to receive good response of students in admission 2021-22.
