MP: MD, MS admissions to commence from first week of Nov

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Admission in MD and MS programme of medical colleges under NEET-PG counseling would begin from first week of November. 

Directorate of Medical Education (DME) is collecting data from private and Government colleges to start the counseling. Information of all India quota seats has been sent to the centre. The directorate is conducting admission in all India quota seats while for state quota, admission would begin soon.

Entire admission will be held in online mode. Online registration for all India quota seats has begun on Monday. Students are allowed to do their registrations and fee submission by October 29. 

In the meantime, DME is also conducting admission on MDS seats. Seats have been allotted to the applicants and they have been asked to confirm admission with fee submission by October 27. There are 264 seats for MDS programme for which 243 candidates have submitted their application on portal. 

However  seats have been allotted to only 155 candidates. After this, second round of counseling will begin from October 30 and seats will be allotted on November 3. Students can chose choice upgrade option till October 27 only. This year medical aspirants seem to be distracted from dental programme as many seats are going vacant. There are only 243 registrations against 264 available seats. There are 85 applicants belonging to other state but they have been enlisted in first merit list.
