MP: Registration ends for admission in MBBS programme

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Registration for admission in MBBS programme of medical colleges under NEET counselling has begun. There are six medical colleges, including five private and one Government college of Bhopal, participating in the counselling. There are around one thousand MBBS seats in Bhopal and around 3,500 seats in State. 

For admission on these seats, six thousand students have confirmed their registration. Surprising face is that there are 1,350 registrations from OBC category only. Besides, 1,225 registration held in general category and 700 registrations are confirmed from candidates who are not state domicile. 

Candidates who are not State domicile have higher score in NEET merit list and they would be receiving seat allotment better than state domicile general category student as they cannot get admission in reserved category seat. 

Directorate of Medical Education (DME) is yet to release detail admission schedule of MBBS seat. Officials said due to cases pending in court, counselling plan could not be released. Several demonstrations have been also held by junior doctors for the counselling schedule. DME has already completed the admission process for BDS programme in various counselling rounds.
