MP: Registration for UG programme begins

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Online registration for second round of admission in under-graduate (UG) programme has begun on Saturday. Aspiring candidates can make their registrations with late fee of Rs 250 till September 3. 

After ending first round of admission, Department of Higher Education (DHE) has released the status of vacant seats. There are 95,000 candidates did not confirm admission on allotted seats. There were 2,70,718 seat allotments out of which 1,75,481 students confirm their admissions. Remaining candidates will get an opportunity to submit their fee in second round. 

Concerned over the demand of UG seats, DHE has increased the seat intake of UG programme by 2 lakh across state. Online document verification for second round will be held by September 5. Seat will be allotted to the applicants on September 10 and candidates will be asked to confirm admission on allotted seats with fee submission by September 14. DHE has scheduled to continue registration for college level counselling from September 14 to 2 to fill up the vacant seats. 

The department is continuing admission process for 12 lakh seats in 1,301 colleges in state. There were many candidates who did not confirm their admission on allotted seats in first round. These candidates are allowed to fill their choice in second round for further seat allotment.
