MP: Registration for admission in MBA, MCA begins today

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) is all set to start online registration for admission on 23,000 seats of MBA and MCA programme from August 26. Choice filling for these programmes will begin from August 28. Admission on NRI seats will be held during this period only. Merit list of applicants will be prepared based on average of first and second year marks scored in graduation. If any candidate scores below 50 per cent marks in final year, his admission will be automatically cancelled. 

There are 1,282 MBA and MCA colleges in State. As UG final year result is pending by few universities, DTE has said to conduct provisional admission based on first and second year performance. Admission in MBA and MCA will be provisional and it would be confirmed after receiving final year result of applicant. After cancelling admission, fee amount will be refunded by deducting the counselling fee. 

Besides, admission in polytechnic programme is continuing. Link for admission in 17,000 seats of Diploma in Engineering, B.Pharma, D.Pharma is already open. Admission in Polytechnic programme will be given based on class X and XII marks.  Though DTE has made entire arrangement via online mode but students are visiting help centres for physical verification. 

Counselling for M.Pharma, M.E  and M.Tech admissions was begun on August 18. DHE Commissioner Mukesh Chandra Gupta raised concern over admission in engineering programme. He said JEE mains and advance level exam is yet to be held. The exam has been delayed due to the pandemic. He said admission in engineering programme can be started after releasing the JEE results only. 

He said admission in polytechnic courses is being held based on class X marks. Admission in B.Pharma will be held based on class XII marks. Admission in hotel management, five year MBA integrated, architecture counselling has begun from August 15.
