MP: Registration for admission in PG course to end today
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Second round of online registration for post-graduate programme of colleges will be closed on Saturday. Registered applicants can visit nearby help centres for rectification, choice filling and documents verification by August 30. Students who did not confirm their admission after having seat allotment in first round were allowed to fill choice for the second round.
There are around ten thousand students registered for the second round of admission in PG programme. In the first round, 42,000 applicants confirmed their admission in PG programme against 2,34,279 seats. Second list will be released by September 6 and admission confirmation will be held by September 11.
To fill up remaining seats of PG programme, college level counselling registration will be held from September 15 to 20. After, allotting seats to the applicants, there are 82 female applicants and 72,035 male applicants downloaded the allotment letter. In first round of seat allotment for PG programme, 10,000 candidates did not confirm admission on given seats.
There were 58,630 seat allotment including 38,747 female and 19,883 male candidates. Department of HigherEducation (DHE) said that for PG programme female candidates are higher in number and they are confirming their admission on allotted seats rapidly.
In comparison to session 2020-21, this year Department of Higher Education increased the PG seats intake by 50,000.
It may be noted that registration for admission in PG programme was begun on August 1. This year entire admission process is being held in online mode and documents are also being verified online.
