MP: Registration for PG counselling ends

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Online registration for admission in post-graduate programme under college level counselling has ended with 23,000 applications. Besides, online registration for UG programme will conclude on September 22.

Till writing this report there was 30 thousand registrations in UG programme. Besides, around 15,000 applicants have verified their documents. For PG programme around 13,000 candidates have verified their documents. CLC for college admission in both programmes will be concluded by September 30. After concluding the online counselling, colleges would have right to fill up their seats on local level. College principals will be releasing merit list as peer their schedule. 

According to Department of Higher Education (DHE), colleges will be allowed to fill their vacant seats on local level from October 1 to 10. Everyday merit list will be released as per the applicant. At present, 1,301 colleges have 7.75 lakh UG seats out of which 2.64 lakh seats have been occupied. In the same way there are PG seats are vacant in higher numbers. 

Detail schedule of counselling has been uploaded on portal. Second round of counselling for admission in PG programme has been ended on September 14. There were 36,327 applicants downloaded their allotment letter but 11,660 did not confirm admission on given seats. In first round of seat allotment for PG programme, 10,000 candidates did not confirm admission on given seats.

In comparison to session 2020-21, this year DHE has increased the post-graduateseats intake by 50,000.
