MP: RTE application for admission in pvt schools
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Online application for free admission of students in private schools under Right to Education (RTE) Act for session 2020-21 has begun on Monday.
Applicants can submit their online form and make rectification from September 6 to 16. After submitting their form, receipt can be downloaded from portal and original documents are to be verified from September 7 to 17. School allotment with random lottery system and information to the concern candidates is scheduled for September 23. After having seat allotment, applicants are asked to confirm their admission on given seats from September 254 to 30.
Director of Rajya Shiksha Kendra (RSK) Dhanraju S informed that admissions on 25 per cent quota seats of unaided private schools under RTE are mandatory. Schools have been asked to provide entire admission process and details on Under RTE provision, it is obligatory for Government to provide free and compulsory elementary education to children up to class 8 in India. No child is liable to pay fee or any other charges that may prevent him from pursuing elementary education.
This also includes provisions of textbooks, uniforms, stationery and special educational material for children with disabilities in order to reduce the burden of school expenses.
It may be mentioned that due to COVID-19 pandemic, admissions in schools during session 2020-21 was not conducted. RSK has said to admit the students for the particular session as per eligibility.
