MP: RTE online lottery for admission to 2020-21 today
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Online lottery for the third round of admission 2020-21 in private schools under Right to Education (RTE) Act will be held on Thursday. Rajya Shiksha Kendra (RSK) has collected application for the same from September 6 to 16.
There are 88,150 applicants for this round and out of this 75,512 have verified their documents. All these candidates will be allotted their seat via online lottery system. A separate SMS will be sent to the eligible candidates on registered mobile number regarding their seat allotment. After having seat allotment, parents are asked to download the allotment letter and confirm admission of their ward from September 24 to 30. Online application for free admission of students in private schools under Right to Education (RTE) Act for session 2020-21 has begun on Monday.
Concern school will be submitting admission report to authorities through mobile application on the same date. RSK Director Dhanraju S informed that admissions on 25 per cent quota seats of unaided private schools under RTE are mandatory. Schools have been asked to provide entire admission process and details on Under RTE provision, it is obligatory for Government to provide free and compulsory elementary education to children up to class 8 in India.
No child is liable to pay fee or any other charges that may prevent him from pursuing elementary education. This also includes provisions of textbooks, uniforms, stationery and special educational material for children ith disabilities in order to reduce the burden of school expenses.
It may be mentioned that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, admissions in schools during session 2020-21 was not conducted. RSK has said to admit the students for the particular session as per eligibility. After getting admission for session 2020-21, students will be covering the syllabus of two session 2020-21 and 2021-22 in current session only.
