MP: Third counselling for PG admission to begin from 15th
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Department of Higher Education (DHE) is continuing online counseling for both UG and PG programmes of 1301 colleges across state. To fill up the vacant seats, next round of admission will begin from September 15.
Detail schedule of counseling has been uploaded on portal. Second round of counseling for admission in PG programme has been ended. There were 41.64 seats allotment including 25516 for female and 15548 for male candidates. Out of this 18908 girl candidates and 10494 male candidates have confirmed their admission. There are 36327 applicants downloade3d their allotment letter but 11660 did not confirm admission on given seats.
After ending its first round of admission in post-graduate programme, DHE was left with 1.91 lakh vacant seats. Out of 2.34 lakh seats only 43088 seats were occupied by students with fee confirmation in first round. To fill up remaining seats of PG programme, college level counseling registration will be held from September 15 to 20.
In first round of seat allotment for PG programme, 10 thousand candidates did not confirm admission on given seats. There were 58630 seat allotment including 38747 female and 19883 male candidates. DHE said for PG programme female candidates are higher in number and they are confirming their admission on allotted seats rapidly.
In comparison to session 2020-21, this year DHE has increased the PG seats intake by 50,000.
