MP: Time-table for class IX to XII released

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI) has released half-yearly examination timetable for classes 9 to 12. Exams for class IX to XII students in Government schools will begin from November 29 to December 8. Class IX and XI students will be writing their exam from 9 am to 12 noon while class X and XII students will be writing exam from 12:30 to 3:30 pm. After printing the question paper, college principal will be provided in sealed envelope as per subject, class and dates. Principals will be responsible for confidential and security of papers. 

Question paper will be set up on district level. Officials of School Education Department said that this year board exams would begin from February and ending by March. Therefore, it is important to conduct the half yearly exams by December. Last year question paper for half yearly exam was uploaded by MPBSE on portal. Photo copy of question paper was distributed among students and open book exam was conducted due to the pandemic. This year all exams will be held in offline mode. 

The board  has also reduced syllabus of both high school and higher secondary classes by 20 to 30 per cent. The board officials said, this year schools have been reopened from August onwards and exam will be held during month of February. 

This  year only 140 days classes will be held in six months while in general session, 230 days classes are must. As this year, numbers of classes are below average, the board has decided to reduce the syllabus. Besides, board has also introduced some changes in examination pattern for session 2021-22. There will be 40 per cent objective questions in all subjects. A notification regarding the same has been released by the board.
