MP Colleges to reopen from September 15
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Universities and colleges are set to reopen their campus under strict safety measures from September 15. While on other sides, children from class VI onwards are reaching their school campus before collegemates. A detail guideline regarding COVID-19 guidelines has been released by Department of Higher Education on Tuesday.
Apart from final year, first and second year UG students will be attending their classes on alternate days. Vaccination of both faculties and students has been made mandatory in al colleges. Officials said that it is mandatory for everyone to present certificate for at least first dosage of vaccine at entrance. The department said only 50 per cent students will be attending offline class and remaining 50 per cent students will be attending online class. State Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav said that colleges can reopen with 50 per cent strength.
However, colleges are free to make their own schedule under COVID protocols. In the meantime, schools are reopening their doors for class VI to VIII from Wednesday onwards. Students will be calling students for offline class with 50 per cent capacity on alternate days. Classes for IX to XII students were already resumed with 50 per cent strength.
Schools have been asked to follow strict COVID protocols in campus and ensure vaccination of teaching and nonteaching staff. Students will have their sitting arrangement at certain distance.
