MP schools for classes IX, X reopen today
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Schools for classes IX and X are set to reopen after a long gap from Thursday onwards. School Education Department has already released detailed Standard Operating Protocol (SOPs) for reopening of schools.
Students will be asked to visit the school twice a week. Classes for IX and XII were already resumed from July 26.
As per Government SOP, offline class for IX and X students will be held on Saturdays and Wednesday respectively. Besides, classes for students of class XI will be held on Tuesdays and Fridays, while students of classes 12 will go to school on Mondays and Thursdays.
In all cases, a maximum of 50% attendance will be allowed. School managements have also made wide level of arrangement to welcome the students after long gap. While some schools have made vaccination of teaching and non-teaching staff, many schools have asked staff to check temperature of students and staff at entrance gate. Schools are being reopened for students after gap of almost one year. In the meantime, online studies of all classes will be continuing. A few parents opposed the decision of continuing offline studies once in a week. Parents said this would increase financial burden. Parents said offline studies will be held only once in a week but they will be paying entire fee. They said burden from school uniform to transportation will be there. Guidelines include submission of parent’s consent letter by each student in school for further attending class, social distancing, sanitisation in classrooms. Buses will be allowed with 50 per cent capacity.
If any student falls sick, schools will be taking responsibility from treatment to further information to the authorities. Morning assembly and other activities will remain suspended for all classes.
