MPBSE prepared to conduct X, XII exams from Feb 17

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) is all set to conduct board examination of high school and higher secondary classes from February 17 and 18. Sources said that if all goes well and exams are successfully conduct as per schedule, then students would get chance of revaluation. The board officials said that COVID cases are rising and amid such situation, preference would be give to the safety of students. If exam would be conducted successfully on decided schedule, revaluation facility would be given to the students.

Officials said that they have released schedule of offline exam but at the same time, plan has been made for other option too. The board has asked online data of regular students from all affiliated schools. Officials said if COVID-19 cases rises, result will be declared based on third monthly and half yearly exams. 

According to MPBSE, marks of class IX and X students will be entered in MPonline by December 31 and classes XI, XII students will be uploaded on portal by January 15. For entry of class XI marks, schools have been asked to provide online data of regular students. Students who have not attended classes would be exempted from the list. After this freshly admitted students will be added up in the list. After having their name in the list, students will be choosing subject. 

And then marks of students will be entered in online mode. This year board has scheduled board exam during month of February. The board said that for past years, COVID cases are rising during month of March. The board has also conducted meeting with collectors regarding X and XII examination. 

In this meeting examination related preparation were reviewed.

There are around 18 lakh students to appear the exam. Detail exam schedule has been released. The exam will be held at five thousand centres across the State. After witnessing rise in COVID cases, MPBSE officials have raised concern. 

They said that all preparations are done and remaining decision depends on the Government. The board said that they will be conducting exam as per directions of the Government only. This year 15 per cent more centres will be assigned to follow the COVID protocols. Examination for high school certificate regular and self-financing would begin on February 18 and concluded on March 10 while higher secondary examinations would begin from February 17 and concluding on March 12.
