MPBSE to introduce changes in exams
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) is set to introduce changes in pattern of board examinations. Students will be able to choose the subject as per their interest. Besides, students from Science stream would be able to opt for Arts subject.
The Board is also conducting two-day seminar on National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Two days before conducting the seminar, Board officials said that proposal has been sent by officials to introduce semester system based on pattern of CBSE. This pattern would be introduced in MPBSE within two years. There are also proposal to find out way for open book exam, option of online exam along with online classes. There are also proposal to allow student for opting a different stream subject along with basic subject.
Students will be able to choose basic or standard math and all schools will be connected with internet. There will be experiment based online exam at one centre and stress will be given to skill base education. More than 700 videos will be prepared for online studies. Question bank of 15,500 questions has been prepared. Experts proposed to conduct online exam, prepare 8 to 10 sets of question paper, online paper evaluation, small pattern of question-answers, changes in duration of exam time, point wise answer instead of long and lengthy answers and conducted f exams based on National Testing Agency.
In the seminar, officials said that there are around 40,000 computers in schools and around 80,000 students can write online exam in a day. However, private agency can help to conduct exam with additional devices that would help to take exam of around 1 lakh students in a day.
