MPBSE to introduce semester system in board exam

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Following pattern of CBSE, the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) is set to introduce changes from academic session 2022-23. From session 2022-23, the board will be taking exam for two times in a year for class X and XII. In class board exam, students will get marks for each activity including sports. 

School education department has started preparation for the changes. Schools have been also directed to make revision of entire syllabus properly. Exams will be held from March to April. In the meantime, School Education Department is set to start board exam for class V and VIII after gap of 13 years. Board exam would begin from current academic session 2021-22. 

After counting each activity of student, this would help in proper development of student. During year 2007-08 class V and VIII board exam was suspended. The board is all set to make several changes in pattern and students will be able to choose the subject as per their interest. Besides, students from Science stream would be able to opt art’s subject. Board officials said to introduce semester system in X and XII exam.
