NEET-UG counselling begins for admission to medical courses

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: NEET-UG counselling for admission to MBBS and BDS seats of medical colleges has been started. A total of 22 medical colleges are participating the counselling process with 3,485 MBBS seats.

Directorate of Medical Education has released the detail of admission counselling and provided three days for general objection. Out of 3,485 MBBS seats, only 1,238 seats are left for the general category and remaining seats will be filled up under various reservation category. 

A total of 1,238 general category seats include 624 seats in private medical colleges and 614 seats in Government medical colleges. According to DME there are over five thousand students created their profile and four thousand students have confirmed registration. Before confirming registration, candidates are asked to create profile on DME portal. Online registration link will remain open for candidates by November 10.

The directorate will be releasing merit list of applicants on November 11 and choice filling will be allowed from November 12 to 15. First round of seats will be allotted on November 19.

Based on allotment letter, students will be called to report in concern college, verify documents and confirm admission given seats from November 20 to 28. 

Applicants will be allowed to apply for upgrading choice from November 20 to December 2. Second round will begin from December 5 and Mop up round from December 14. College level counselling for vacant seats will begin from December 29.
