Online registration for admission in technical programme begins today

NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) is set to start admission counselling for its professional programmes from August 10. The directorate has released its counselling schedule for all technical programmes. Admission against 28,000 seats of polytechnic, 17,000 seats of B.Pharma and D.Pharma will begin from August 10. Besides, admission for MBA and MCA programme will begin from August 18. DTE officials said that a few universities are yet to release UG final year result due to which admission in PG programme cannot be started. Officials said after starting admission for PG programme, merit list of applicants will be released after taking average of first and second year marks. M.Pharma, M.E and M.Tech admissions will also begin from August 18. DHE Commissioner Mukesh Chandra Gupta raised concern over admission in engineering programme. He said that JEE mains and advance level exam is yet to be held. The exam has been delayed due to the pandemic. 

He said that admission in engineering  programme can be started after releasing the JEE results only. He said that admission in polytechnic courses will be held based on class X marks,. Admission in B.Pharma will be held based on class XII marks. Admission in hotel management, five-year MBA integrated, architecture counselling will begin from August 15.
