Polytechnic admission to begin from July 30
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: For session 2021-22, admission in polytechnic courses will be offered without conducting PrePolytechnic Test (PPT).
Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) is set to begin registration process for 28,000 seats from July 30. Students will not be allowed to fill their choice before August 10. Registered candidates will be allotted their seats as per marks scored in class X.
Every year, DTE allows admission in polytechnic courses based on PPT score conducted by MPPEB. This year, Government did not allow conducting offline exams in scare of the third wave of COVID-19. After result for class X was released, DTE prepared its schedule and said to start admission from July 30.
Students will be asked to submit their choice after August10. Decision has been taken by authorities to allow choice filling after August as NCTE has released notification to release affiliation and continuation of colleges by August 10.
Therefore DTE will be waiting till August 10 to check the affiliation and continuation of colleges. After receiving final list from NCTE, DTE would start the seat allotment following with choice filling. Students will get their seat allotment by August 15.
There are 137 polytechnic colleges across state with around 28,000 seats.
