Registration for 2nd round of B.Ed admission begins in MP
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Online registration for second round of admission in B.Ed and other NCTE affiliated programme began on Friday. After concluding first round of admission, 80 per cent seats remained vacant in colleges across state. Department of Higher Education (DHE) had allotted 31,000 seats out of which around 6,000 seats confirmed their admission.
However, applicants who did not confirm their admission even after having seats allotment would get another chance of appearing in second round. Online registration and document verification for B.Ed programme was concluded with 47,549 registrations. Out of this, around 34,000 candidates successfully verified their documents. Though registration is free but students will be paying Rs 100 as portal charges. According to DHE there are 758 B.Ed colleges offering around 70,000 seats across state. DHE has assigned help centers in colleges where students can appear for any kind of problem or help.
There are also helpline numbers released by DHE for virtual help. There will be three admission rounds to fill up 70,000 seats.
Officials of higher education department said that latest trend in B.Ed programme shows increase in its demand. As every year around 90 percent B.Ed seats remain full in colleges, this year colleges expecting to fill up entire seats.
While during year 2019, 87.06 percent seats were full in colleges, during year 2020, 93.46 per cent seats were filled. Apart from B.Ed, admissions are also continuing for M.Ed, B.P.Ed, M.P.Ed, BA-B.Ed, MAM.Ed, B.Sc-B.Ed and other integrated programme affiliated by National Council for Teacher’s Education (NCTE).
