RGPV to get new VC by June second week
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) is set to get a new Vice Chancellor (VC) by second week of June. After making panel of short-listed candidates, Search Committee has submitted it to the Governor for further decision.
Working tenure of Professor Sunil Gupta will end on June 21. Governor can appoint new VC few days before ending the tenure of current VC so that he can give charge of responsibilities on time. Search panel includes member as Kapil Dev Mishra, Vice Chancellor Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur, S K Chaturvedi from IIT Roorkee, and Vinay Pathak from IT University Lucknow. Authorities have started the process of finding new Vice Chancellor for the university.
A dozen of applicants were interviewed on digital platform. Search committee formed by Governor has submitted the list of eligible candidates. Final decision for VC will be taken by Governor Anandiben Patel. Governor has received 55 applications out of which dozen of candidates have been short-listed for further round of screening.
