Schools, parents, students await final decision on reopening
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Things are still not clear about reopening of schools in regular mode for students of classes 9 to 12, while students are also waiting final decision in this regard.
Private Schools’ Association is also demanding for reopening of schools. District Education Officer, Bhopal, Nitin Saxena told news agency that, “The decision of resuming classes for students of classes 9 to 12 in regular mode will only be taken by higher authorities. Discussion is being made by crisis management committee of the district administration in this regard.”
The School Education Department had already instructed to all the DEOs that schools will be opened as per the Government’s instructions and COVID-19 guidelines for classes 9 to 12. In view of pandemic, the State Government had declared that all the Government and private schools will remain closed till March 31, 2021, for classes 1 to 8.
Studies will be continued in digital mode for these classes. At present, schools are continuing with doubt clearing sessions for students of class 9 to 12 amid COVID-19 protocols. Students who are having any doubts in subjects are voluntarily attending school and getting their doubts cleared in different subjects. Students are visiting schools with consent of their parents. The high school and higher secondary students are worried for their upcoming board examinations and attending the doubt clearing sessions in the schools.
