Schools to remain closed for class I to VIII in MP
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Viewing sharp spike in COVID19 cases in the State, the State Government has decided to extend the closure of all schools for classes one to eight till the further notice. However, the studies will be continued online at homes. While the departmental instructions for the students of classes 9 to 12 will remain the same.
These students can attend classes for guidance or doubt clearing sessions on voluntary basis with the consent of their parents. The students of classes 9 to 12 who would be visiting schools for appearing in revision test or for attending doubt clearing session will have to adhere to the COVID-19 safety guidelines.
It will be mandatory for the teachers and students to wear face safety mask and maintain social distancing in schools. Earlier it was being decided that school activities for students of classes 9 to 12 will be allowed to resume in phased manner from November 20, but seeing the spike in cases of COVID-19 the Government decided to extend the closure of schools till the further notice.
Notably, these days open-book revision test is being held in schools scheduled from November 20 to November 28 for the classes 9 to 12. Students are appearing in these examinations in online and offline mode amid COVID-19 protocols.
