Second round of RTE admission to continue till August 22
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: In second phase of counselling for free of cost admission in private schools under Right to Education (RTE), 14,880 seats have been allotted as per choice filling and lottery. Rajya Shiksha Kendra Director Dhanraju S informed that schools have been allotted to the second round of applicants for session 2021-22 as per lottery system.
The list includes seat allotment to 7,887 boys and 6,993 girl students. Allotment letter is also available on portal where applicants can check their name and download the same for further admission confirmation. Applicants having seat allotment are asked to report in concern school with copy of allotment letter by August 22. After confirming admission of student, concern school will be reporting the same through mobile app. After concluding first round of admission, second round was started from August 4. Applicants were allowed to update their school choice from August 4 to 11. Further, seats were allotted to the candidates on August 14 based on online lottery.
Schools have been asked to submit detail report of admission to RSK by August 25. A Notification regarding the same has been released to all district collectors and project co-ordinators. Admissions on 25 per cent quota seats of unaided private schools under RTE are mandatory. Schools have been asked to provide entire admission process and details on Under RTE provision, it is obligatory for Government to provide free and compulsory elementary education to children up to class 8 in India.
No child is liable to pay fee or any other charges that may prevent him from pursuing elementary education. This also includes provisions of textbooks, uniforms, stationery and special educational material for children with disabilities in order to reduce the burden of school expenses.
