Students cheer as CBSE class X exam cancelled
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: After Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) cancelled class X board exam and deferred class XII exam because of Covid-19 pandemic, students got sigh of relief on Wednesday. Earlier, CBSE has announced to conduct class XII exam from May 4 to June 14 which is postponed. Fresh date for this exam will be decided in further meeting and students will be informed about the schedule at least 15 days notice before the exam.
Class X students will be rewarded general grading based on their previous year performance and internal assessment. Parents and students were demanding Government to postpone or cancel the CBSE exam amid the pandemic. Concerned over the demand of parents and students, final decision was taken on Wednesday. Students said that many of them were not able to prepare for exam because of the pandemic. While few students have Covid patient in their family and relatives, many students are self isolated.
This year students could not attend their class in school because of the pandemic.
