UG applicants to confirm admission on allotted seats by Aug 25
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Continuing its first round of admission in under-graduate (UG) courses offered by colleges across State, 2,70,718 seats were allotted, including 1,47,586 for female and 1,23,132 for male applicants.
There are 82,489 female applicants and 72,035 male applicants confirmed their admission on allotted seats. Besides, 20,531 girls and 15,004 boys have submitted their fee via online mode. Eligible applicants are asked to confirm their admission on allotted seats with fee submission by August 25. The department is continuing admission process for 12 lakh seats in 1,301 colleges in State. According to data provided by DHE, number of registrations by girl candidates is higher than boys.
There are around 5 lakh registrations for UG programme out of which 2.45 lakh registrations are confirmed by female applicants. The department will be starting registration of students for second round of admission from August 28. For second round of registration, applicants will be charged with Rs 250 each while the first round of registrations was free for all. Students will be enrolled to the course after confirming their admission. This year DHE has said to complete the enrolment process of students after submitting the first fee installment. This year students do not require submitting separate form and fee for enrollment while this will be charged along with the admission fee.
Concerned over the demand of UG seats, DHE has increased the seat intake of UG programme by 2 lakh across state. Experts said that this year cut off will remain high as students have scored better marks in class XII result. Registration for second round of counselling will be held from August 28 to September 3.
Online document verification for second round will be held by September 5. Seat will be allotted to the applicants on September 10 and candidates will be asked to confirm admission on allotted seats with fee submission by September 14.
DHE has scheduled to continue registration for college level counselling from September 14 to 2 to fill up the vacant seats.
