UGC writes for National Awards for e-Governance
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: University Grants Commission (UGC) wrote to higher educational institutes for nomination of National Awards for e-Governance 2020-21. The commission said that Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances presents the National Awards for eGovernance (NAeG) every year during the National conference on e-Governance (NCeG) to recognise and promote excellence in implementation of eGovernance initiatives.
The NAeG 2019-2020 was presented during the 23rd NCeG held on February 7 and 8, 2020 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. These awards seek to recognise and promote excellence in implementation of eGovernance project, initiatives solutions’ The web-portal for inviting nomination under the Scheme of NAeG 2020-2O21 was launched by Secretary.
For year 2020-2O21, the awards would be presented in several categories. Universalising access including services, excellence in district level initiative in e-Governance, outstanding research on citizen centric services by academic, research institutions, excellence in adopting emerging technologies and use of ICT in the management of COVID-19.
UGC asked universities and affiliated colleges to send suitable nomination under given categories for NAeG 2020-2O21 on portal by February 26.
