UGC writes for National Unity Day on October 31
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: University Grants Commission (UGC) wrote to higher educational institutes for celebration of National Unity Day on October 31. Entries for National Unit Award will be accepted by August 15.
The Government of India has instituted the Sardar Patel National Unity Award which will be announced on the occasion of National Unity Day October 31. The award seeks to recognise the notable and inspiring contribution made by the citizens, institutions of India to promote the cause of national unity and integrity and to reinforce the value of a strong and united India.
AII citizens of India without distinction of religion, race, caste, gender, place or birth, age or occupation and any institution/organisation are eligible for the award.
The nomination for the award will be received only on the online portal designed for this purpose. Nominations should contain all relevant details specified in the format available on the portal including a citation in narrative form, clearly bringing out the distinguished and exceptional, Achievement, service of The persons, institutions, organisation of India to promote the cause for national unity and integrity.
The online nomination for the Sardar Patel National Unity Award, 2021 has commenced on July 1, 2021 and the last date for the nomination is August 15, 2021. Universities are asked to bring this to the notice of all concerned for making suitable nomination and also disseminate this to affiliated colleges.
